SmartMove®’s Multi-Lane Conveyor is a space saver. Each lane is pulled by an individual motor and can be run at different speeds – all in one frame which saves valuable space on your factory floor. SmartMove® Multi-Lane Conveyors allow for as many as 5 lanes. All can run in the same direction or in opposite directions as well as in a carousel pattern. When conveyor system have several lanes and the product travels in circles, it is used for accumulation and called a carousel:

Smartmove® Carousel Conveyors move parts fast around corners easily and effectively so assembly workers or robots can collect them. The advantage of a Carousel Conveyor is that the continuous flow allows items that are being assembled, dryed or cooled to cure and keep consistency. Carousel Conveyors are also called Accumulation Conveyors because the product accumulates as it circulates. This process is particularly helpful when assembly does not have to be done immediately and can be completed in stages. The stage of assembly or the wait/cue is the accumulation.
